Door County Wisconsin just might be the most perfect place to escape the city
during Summer, Fall and Winter months.
Early Summer cherry and apple blossoms canvas the Door Peninsula, bringing
with them another season of visitors to this amazing region. Door County's
shoreline explodes with Autuminal fire in October and November. Winter brings
tranquility under a thick blanket of untouched snow.
At the Whistling Swan Inn & Restaurant, we celebrate
these seasons with virve. Fire-side candlelight dinners, cozy down comforted
beds and a great breakfast of fresh baked pastries, locally roasted coffee
and fresh fruit await all our travelers.
This year we're offering "Perfect Weekend Getaways" designed for
you to escape the daily grind and discover a different way of life in beautiful

14th annual Progresive Dinner Weekends as featured in Door County Living Magazine December 4 & 5, 11 & 12, 18 & 19, 2009 and January 8 & 9, 2010 A moveable feast is the only way to describe a gourmet dinner starting at one of Fish Creek's historic inns, moving to another for the main course, and on to a third for dessert. The ninth annual Progressive Dinner weekends, scheduled for the first three weekends of December will once again be hosted by the White Gull, Thorp House and Whistling Swan Inns. Each inn is planning memorable weekend packages, culminating Saturday evening in a five course dinner complete with live music, as guests tour the inns, bedecked festively in old fashioned splendor for the Christmas season. The dinner begins with hors d'oeuvres at the charming Thorp House Inn, built in 1902 by Freeman Thorp, of the founding family of Fish Creek. Innkeepers Chris and Sverre Falck-Pedersen will be on hand to relate the history of the Thorp House, and serve the appetizer. Dinner guests will then be transported on to the White Gull Inn by horse drawn wagons past the many homes and businesses decorated for the holidays. The 104-year-old White Gull, founded by Dr. Herman Welcker, is the oldest continuing operating inn in Door County.Their staff will conduct tours and discuss the inn's history before serving the salad and main course. Guests then will stroll down to Dr. Welcker's other famous inn, The Whistling Swan Inn & Restaurant, for dessert. Built in 1887 in Marinette, Wisconsin, The Whistling Swan Inn & Restaurant was moved across the frozen waters of Green Bay in 1907 to its current spot by the Welckers. The Whistling Swan Inn & restaurant is the home of five elegant rooms, two suites and the areas best cuisine. The Innkeepers will conduct tours of the inn, before serving dessert. Live music will be featured at each of the three inns. The Progressive Dinners are open to weekend guests of either the Whistling Swan, White Gull or Thorp House Inn.
